Private Yacht Charters – What is the Magic of a Private Yacht Charter?

What is a Yacht Charter?

What is the magic of a private yacht charter? It’s really all about total privacy, personal service, gourmet meals, absolute relaxation and seclusion, water sports if you like and no fixed itinerary.

The Yacht Captain will generally recommend the best itinerary and will know the cruising area very well, the prettiest harbors, quietest beaches and best snorkeling or scuba places. But the choice is yours as the itinerary is always flexible: if you discover a place you particularly love, then you can spend extra time there.

A gourmet chef is at your beck and call. Feast on world-class cuisine and fine wine. Relax in the sumptuous comfort of your yacht. Let the crew spoil you.

For experienced sailors, the fully crewed charter is your chance to sail aboard a luxury-class yacht, while you do as little or as much sailing as you wish. Marvelous gourmet meals are prepared and served by your chef. You’ll be absolutely pampered by the crew. You have no chores or responsibilities.

For non-sailors. The fully crewed charter is a cruise vacation with a touch of adventure. You’re not lost in the crowd as you would be on a huge cruise ship. You have an entire private yacht to yourself, and its crew completely at your service.

All crew members are professionals. They are expert sailors, proud of the yachts they sail, and knowledgeable about the places you will visit. The chefs have been trained in the world’s finest culinary schools. Whether their work is on deck or in the galley, each is dedicated to serving you.

Guest accommodations are always private, with separate crew quarters that enable your crew to offer attentive, yet unobtrusive service.

As a minimum, charter yachts always carry snorkel gear and generally much more as well. Floating mats, water-skis, fishing gear, towable rings and kneeboards etc, sea kayaks and beach games are often provided, while on the bigger boats there could be a sailing dinghy, scuba gear and jet-skis. A number of yachts are also well-equipped dive centers. Depending upon the qualifications of the crew, you could also learn scuba too.

Chartering is an ideal vacation for many different groups of people: corporate events, families, groups of friends or just couples wanting a peaceful and romantic getaway. Chartering need not be an expensive vacation and very often will cost less than staying in a good resort hotel.

Private yacht charters are available all over the world. Some of the more popular destinations are The Western Mediterranean – covering the area of the Mediterranean Sea between and including Spain, France and Italy. It is arguably the most well-known and prestigious cruising ground in the world.

The Caribbean – Everything you can imagine as paradise can be found on a yacht charter in the Caribbean. It is an ocean of adventures to experience, and your constant traveling companion. Here, you’ll discover white sand beaches, turquoise waters and friendly, warm-hearted people. The Caribbean is one of the most varied and beautiful sailing areas in the world. For such a small area, the Caribbean islands consist of many nations and have such a wide variety of languages, cultures and scenery; it is like a vast geography lesson learnt in the most pleasant of circumstances. The sea is perfect for sailing, the coastlines varied and interesting with wonderful golden beaches under swaying palm trees, crystal clear water leads the way to explore spectacular coral and exotic marine life and the ubiquitous steel bands irrepressible beat. Sailing from island to island, music and dancing follows in your wake.

Chartering is ideal whether you are looking for privacy, a little adventure, a romantic getaway, a family vacation or a corporate venue.

So as Mark Twain said:

“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor and catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
