Google will skip the world’s largest cellular phone celebration – the Cell World Congress (MWC) 2021. The enterprise has resolved to withdraw from MWC 2021 thanks to the COVID-19 vacation constraints and protocols. The annual celebration is organised by Global Program for Cell Communications (GSMA) in Barcelona. In a statement to The Verge, Google mentioned, “Following our recent COVID-19 journey constraints and protocols, Google has created the final decision to not exhibit at Cellular World Congress this year.”

The US-primarily based tech large additional that it will continue to collaborate intently with GSMA and aid its associates via virtual opportunities. “We glance ahead to this year’s actions and looking at you(GSMA) in Barcelona in 2022,” the statement mentioned.
The announcement will come weeks after Sony, Nokia and Oracle pulled out of MWC 2021, reported Cnet.
The report added that GSMA will go ahead with the function as planned. All the businesses who are coming to the celebration will have to observe the coronavirus suggestions and protection protocols issued by the authorities.
Previous calendar year, MWC was cancelled following the the vast majority of tech organizations made the decision to skip it thanks to the coronavirus outbreak.
